TITLE: Licence-eligible Archaeologist/ Site Director!
LOCATION: On-site (Leinster, Greater Dublin Area)
CONTRACT: Full-time (37.5 hour-week Mon-Fri.). Contract: Immediate start, permanent position (all pending suitability and probation).
REMUNERATION: €43-50,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

We are one of the largest archaeological companies in Ireland, operating across the island of Ireland, in both jurisdictions, and expanded into Great Britain. We are inviting all archaeologists to send an expression of interest to work for us.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Site Director to join our expanding fieldwork team. We consistently have a wide and interesting variety project requiring excavation from deeply stratified urban site to small and largescale greenfield sites both countrywide and in the great Dublin area.
We work to the highest standards and we have ISO and CIFA quality accreditation. You will form part of a professional team working alongside experienced site directors and company directors. Our large post-excavation team including our inhouse specialists will assist and support you throughout the post-excavation stage of your projects. We offer variety of in-house training and support employees’ professional and career development. Our team is well known for publications of articles in all areas of archaeology which is supported by the company and in-house publication committee.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Successful candidate will be mainly responsible for coordinating and overseeing the completion of small to large scale projects in the field and, working with our post-excavation and graphics departments to produce both preliminary and final reports. In this role you will manage sites, oversee and implement Health and Safety requirements and manage teams of site assistants and site supervisors, providing them with direction and feedback.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements
• A third level degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in archaeology or a related discipline
• Must be a license-eligible archaeologist
• Demonstrable experience working in the commercial sector of Irish Archaeology
• Safe Pass/Manual Handling
• Full clean driver’s license
Person Specification:
• Ability to work effectively either autonomously or as part of a team
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Good knowledge of archaeology and heritage
