Drumclay Crannóg Post-Excavation Project
Project overview
IAC were awarded a contract to complete a three-year programme of post-excavation analyses and reporting for the excavations at Drumclay Crannóg, Co. Fermanagh. This is a crannóg of national and international significance with habitation activity stretching from the early medieval through to the early modern periods.

The well-preserved remains of at least 50 houses were identified in the deposits and over 6,000 artefacts were recovered during the excavation. IAC are managing an extensive multi-disciplinary specialist team across Ireland and the UK to complete analysis of the excavation results. This project will provide further context to the activities carried out during the lifetime of this unique settlement site. The results of this work will be shared via public talks and publications.
