Borderland: an exhibition of archaeological discoveries along the route of the M18 Gort to Crusheen Road

IAC collaborated with Clare Museum to develop an exhibition presenting the archaeological discoveries along the route of the M18 Gort to Crusheen road. The exhibition was officially opened by Councillor Brian Meaney, Deputy Mayor of Ennis and ran for 3 months. An illustrated introductory talk on the sites and artefacts was given by project archaeologist Shane Delaney. Further public talks and publications have also been produced (photographs of the opening night taken by museum curator John Rattigan).

The archaeological findings discovered during investigations along this road scheme have been published in a monograph entitled ‘Borderlands’.
