IAC successfully carried out all pre-development archaeological services to facilitate construction of a substantial data centre on a 40-acre site in Rathmullen, Co. Meath. The site is located in the IDA Business and Technology Park, Donore Road, west of Drogheda.
Impact assessment carried out to inform the planning process set out an appropriate mitigation strategy which was agreed with the statutory authorities. This involved extensive archaeological excavations carried out prior to construction; requiring an experienced team and dynamic programme of works. The results of these investigations revealed a rich prehistoric landscape including evidence for Neolithic and Bronze Age settlement.
